Animals on campus

As we begin the spring 2025 semester, please keep in mind that ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ has a policy on Animals in University Buildings and on University Property ( ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Policy 05.09.001). A newly revised policy is underway and will be released in the coming months.

In the meantime, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ employees, students and visitors are required to follow the existing policy. Animals are not permitted in ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ buildings without approval as a service animal or as an accommodation for a documented disability. Students should work with ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Disability Services, while employees and visitors should work directly with University of Alaska Human Resources Leave and Accommodations team to ensure compliance with the policy.
