Try something new this fall with Nanook Recreation

Registration is now open for a beginner-friendly strength training program. The six-week fitness class starts Tuesday, Sept. 2, and is free for Nanook Recreation members. Space is limited.

Introduction to Strength Training is progressive. Students will learn the basic concepts and safety considerations when resistance training. Individual needs will be considered when teaching new exercises, and modifications can be made for a variety of skill levels. Looking for something a little more challenging? Take a Look at Intermediate Strength Training. This class takes you through a six-week written program designed for general sports performance. We also offer a six-week Intro to Olympic Weightlifting course starting in October.
