¾«¶«Ó°Òµ space utilization pilot program
Aug. 11, 2025
Beginning this fall semester, ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ Space Planning is launching a 90-day pilot program with Lambent Spaces to explore a new way of understanding campus space utilization. The system uses our existing Wi-Fi access points to anonymously estimate occupancy, with no personally identifiable information collected.
This pilot will run in the Arctic Health Research Building, Duckering, and Elvey. The goal is to evaluate if this technology can provide us with valuable data — such as high-level usage trends — to inform future planning and create a more efficient campus environment for everyone.
