Scheduling of outlets

Utilities Division controls the schedule on all outlets across the campus.

Power to head bolt outlets (HBOs) in parking lots is cycled during the winter.

Most parking lots are assigned to one of two groups:

Includes the following parking lots:

  • Bunnell - South Lots 3C and 3G
  • Butrovich - Lot 9C
  • Chapman - Lot 4H
  • Eielson - West Lot 3B
  • Eielson - South Lot 3C (meters)
  • Fine Arts/Music - Lot 3H
  • Haida - Lot 4J
  • O'Neill - North Lot 9M
  • Physical Plant-Lots 8E, 8F, & 8G (partial)

1. Groups 1 & 2 will be switched per the schedule when temperature is between +20 & -20.
2. When temperature is above +20 groups 1(Feeder 10) & 2 will be off.
3. When temperature is below -20 groups 1(Feeder10) & 2 will be permanently on.
4. Power to IPLC HBO Lots will always be on. If power is cycled the controller will turn off, resulting in no power to the lot.

Exceptions:

Power to this lot is controlled by a timer located inside the building which FS Maintenance Division maintains. Cycle every 30 minutes.

On a contactor to turn on/off the cycles with the temperature.

On schedule with school district. Contact FNSBSD 907-452-2000 with problems.

Above 20 cycle is 30 mins on 30 mins off.

Below 20 cycle is 15 mins on 15 mins off

Never powered on 24/7

 

 Power is controlled by local thermostat. Lot should be energized at 20掳F.

Power is controlled by computer energy management system (DDC/HVAC Host Room); also maintained by FS Maintenance Division.

Power to this lot is controlled by a timer located inside the building which FS Maintenance Division maintains. It cycles every hour 24/7. Power Plant does not control this lot.

New style of head bolt plugins saves energy!

IPLC plugs will go green then straight to red for two hours if the temperature is greater than -5F. Between minus -5F and -55F the initial delay gradually reduces to zero.
