SMS authentication being removed from Duo MFA

As of June 30, 2025, SMS (text messages) will be removed as an authentication option within Duo MFA. This change is required to ensure all accounts are protected from SMS spoofing, a common vector for compromising accounts.

After more than 30-years of service to ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, I have decided to retire as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ chancellor. It is time for me to see where else my journey leads. Serving as ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ chancellor has been a challenging and rewarding time and one that I am incredibly grateful for. My last day as chancellor of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ will be July 26, 2025. In the near term I will retain my affiliation with ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ through my faculty position in civil engineering. ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ faces headwinds, no doubt, but also big opportunities. This is indeed a unique time in our history and I am confident that ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ will thrive.

Honors House to close June 1 in preparation for move to Rasmuson Library
