The budget team supports agency decision-making by empowering leadership with data and strategic, long-term financial planning and short-term budget planning, management, implementation, monitoring, reporting and analysis. This position provides high-level analysis and expert advice in the development and implementation of the agency's operating and capital budgets including budget narratives, budget proposals, legislative activity, and fiscal notes. Through the College of Business and Security Management, I traveled to New York, visited the NY Stock Exchange, competed in a student human resources competition in Salt Lake City, landed two excellent internships with BP and eventually obtained an amazing career in HR with a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Arizona.
