Start the Semester Right

New Student Orientation
Aug. 21-24 | Thursday–Sunday
All new students are required to attend New Student Orientation.
We've planned four full days of activities to help you connect with other ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ students, discover resources and learn to navigate your new ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ home.
Fees: The cost of participating in New Student Orientation is included in your student matriculation fee.
Parent and Family Orientation
Aug. 21-22 | Thursday–Friday
Parent and Family Orientation provides you with the skills and resources you need to support your student in their transition to college life at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ. During our two-day program, you'll meet the faculty and staff who will support and educate your student inside and outside of the classroom, and have a chance take care of any outstanding business with the university.
Fees: Attending Parent and Family Orientation costs $30 for the first guest and $15 for each additional guest. This fee covers the cost of meals and materials distributed during Parent and Family Orientation.
Community and Technical College Orientation
Aug. 23 | Saturday
As a new CTC student at ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, this is a chance for you to connect with fellow first-year CTC students and your program instructors, discover helpful resources, and ask any remaining questions you may have. Come see your new classroom spaces and get ready for the fall semester. The CTC team is here to support you through your academic program, and for whatever comes next!
Fees: There is no additional fee to attend CTC Orientation. The cost of participating in New Student Orientation is included in your student matriculation fee.
Stay Connected With Residence Life
¾«¶«Ó°Òµ is invested in your success as a student. Experience and research conclusively shows that living on campus — especially during your first year in college — leads to academic success and greater connection to the campus community.
All incoming first-year undergraduate students attending the Troth Yeddha' Campus in Fairbanks who are enrolled in 9 credits or more, and under the age of 21, are required to live on campus. Exceptions are approved in some circumstances.
